Organised by IMDEA Food, together with UAM Emprende and -ivoro food innovation hub, this activity aims to promote entrepreneurship within IMDEA Food and UAM research community. The programme includes 8 working sessions, 2 mentoring sessions and a final Demo Day to assist existing research groups with innovative results in creating their own start-up. The programme is designed to target the agrifood tech sector with sessions covering the following topics:
Problem / solution fit
Traction / Validation
Market opportunity & Competitors analysis
Business model
IP strategy / legal framework
Team and Financials
Pitch deck training
All working sessions include some theoretical content as well as on-hand work, so participating researchers can work on their own projects. These sessions provide the necessary tools related to the topic, and the working teams have to accomplish a specific task for each working session.
Each project has access to 2 one-to-one mentoring sessions with -ivoro’s or external mentors to validate their progress and receive guidance on their next steps.
The programme finishes with a Demo Day where the participants pitch their start-ups before an experts’ jury.
