About us

Building up robust innovation ecosystems around universities.

HEADLINES aims at improving local innovation ecosystems in partnering universities by boosting the entrepreneurial skills of students, academics and researchers within the partnering organisations, therefore facilitating the development and transfer of innovations in the Food and Health sectors to society.

HEADLINES is one of the 24 awarded consortia taking part in the first pilot call of the HEI Initiative, inviting higher education institutions (HEI) to design activities to improve their entrepreneurial and innovation capacity.

This project aims at nurturing and boosting the HEI entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems within the sectoral pillars of Food and Health. The initiative works across  4 domains: i) fostering institutional engagement and change, ii) strengthening partnerships (knowledge triangle integration), iii) contribution to developing innovations and business, and iv) enhancing the quality of innovation and entrepreneurial education.

The partnership, composed of 4 HEI, one company and one research institute, through developing and sharing good practices, is deeply involved in promoting and developing both an entrepreneurial mindset and activity among academic and non-academic staff, as well as the students. This project offers its participants the opportunity to work together on sharing research, innovation-related experiences, know-how and good practices, as well as on developing new shared knowledge and strategies on embedding entrepreneurship mindset deeply into the educational system.
